During a routine patrol in a protected nature reserve in Spain, rangers witnessed something extraordinary.
A wild mare began following their jeep — pawing the ground and nickering urgently. Curious, the rangers followed her through dense brush.
The mare led them to a deep muddy pit — inside was her trapped foal, struggling to free itself.
Without hesitation, the team worked together to carefully lift the exhausted foal to safety. The mare nuzzled her baby gently, then stood protectively by its side.
